Gym
The gym is located in one of Kateland’s four external buildings to the primary residence.
The equipped gym has a treadmill, simple weight machine, yoga mats, rowing machine and exercise bicycle all housed in a spacious area with views looking out onto the front courtyard of the estate.
Spa
A small conservatory has been converted into a relaxing spa retreat with extensive renovations including wooden floorboards & floor to ceiling glass windows, allowing scenic country view - the northern paddocks & West Arm cove. A large three-person jacuzzi ensures a soothing, warm spa and bath robes are supplied for the short walk through the garden to the spa cottage.
An external masseur is available for massage treatments by appointment at Kateland, either in the spa cottage or primary residence. Please advise us when making your booking.
Nature Walks
Kateland has a number of sign-posted nature walks allowing you to explore the paddocks and scenic beauty of the Tamar Valley. Walk north and arrive in about five minutes at the West Arm tributary of the Tamar River. Walk south, cross the road and meander through the gum trees and tea trees to Lake Kateland, a large dam on the southern boundary.
Look out for wallabies and kookaburras early in the morning. This walk takes about 20 minutes one way...

Bicycling & The Stars
Four bicycles and helmets are provided for guest use. It takes about 10 minutes to leisurely cycle into Beauty Point (our nearest township), visiting the local stores and just exploring the town and its scenic surrounds.
A telescope is provided for guest use to view the amazing and brightly lit starry southern hemisphere night. A guide book will help you identify the constellations.
